We have stepped into a cliffhanger. The life of one of the main characters hangs on a thread.
Even with all the magic in the dimension, all the empathic qualities, the Elvish wisdom, things can still go wrong, and in some cases cannot be put right...but we always hope. But it is a fact of life that not everything can have a happy ending.
It can be frustrating when there is someone, a being, who you may think is omnipotent, and even they can't help.
